Objectives

The Association is a non-profit organization, the major goal of which is to promote socio-economic research and information exchange on aquaculture through:

  • Encouraging and fostering collaboration among economists, sociologists and other scientists in aquaculture
  • Encouraging international cooperation in research, teaching and publication
  • Sponsoring symposia, conferences, meetings and other academic activities
  • Publication of its own journal
